What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy because she requires the rental unit for her own residential occupation. The Landlord has lived with her daughter for eight years since her husband passed away and now wishes to return to her only owned property. The Tenants did not attend the hearing, although they had previously indicated they would move out.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 31, 2025. The Tenants are ordered to vacate the unit on or before December 14, 2025. If they fail to vacate, the Landlord may enforce the eviction through the Sheriff. Additionally, the Tenants must pay the Landlord $186.00 to reimburse the application filing fee.
