What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques.
The ruling
The tenancy will be terminated on June 29, 2024 unless the Tenant pays $3,805.27 to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenant does not void the order, the Tenant must pay $1,131.75 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears, NSF charges, and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $39.44 for each day of occupation starting May 24, 2024 until the Tenant moves out.
