What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to significant rent arrears. The Tenants had not paid rent since March 2025 and did not attend the hearing. The Landlord provided evidence that the Tenants were served with an N4 notice and had failed to respond to repayment agreement attempts.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 5, 2025, unless the Tenants pay $6,994.00 by August 31, 2025, or $8,734.48 by September 5, 2025, to void the order. If they do not void it, they must vacate by September 5, 2025, and pay the Landlord $4,321.19 plus daily compensation of $57.22 until they move out.
