What happened
The Landlord applied to evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. An initial order was issued without the Tenants' participation. The Tenants requested a review, stating they were unable to participate in the first hearing. The Landlord consented to the review, and a new hearing was conducted. By the time of the review hearing, the Tenants had already vacated the rental unit. After calculating the total rent owed, payments made by the Tenants, and applying the rent deposit with interest, it was determined that the Landlord owed a balance of $215.82 to the Tenants.
The ruling
The Tenant's request to review a prior order is granted on consent. The previous order is cancelled and replaced. The tenancy is terminated as of May 31, 2025, the date the Tenants moved out. After a full accounting of rent arrears, payments made, application fees, and the rent deposit with interest, the Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenant $215.82 by June 29, 2025.
