What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. A hearing was conducted via videoconference, attended by both parties. The Tenant acknowledged she could no longer afford the rent due to a change in employment and a decrease in income.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the full amount owing. Two payment options are provided to void the eviction by specific dates. If the order is not voided, the Tenant must vacate by June 9, 2025, and pay the Landlord $8,222.58. Additionally, the Tenant must pay daily compensation of $40.44 from March 19, 2025, until moving out.
