What happened

The Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to substantial interference with reasonable enjoyment and willful or negligent damage to the property. Following a series of reviews and an appeal by the Tenant, a consent agreement was reached where the Tenant was supposed to vacate by September 1, 2025. The Tenant failed to vacate as agreed, necessitating enforcement by the Sheriff. The hearing reconvened to address the Landlords' claims for compensation and damages.

The ruling

On consent of both parties, the Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlords $10,000.00 by November 28, 2025. This payment resolves all outstanding matters regarding the tenancy, which was already terminated and enforced by the Sheriff. If payment is not made by the deadline, simple interest of 4.00% will accrue.
