What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy due to the Tenants' persistent late payment of rent. At the hearing, the Tenant's request to adjourn and combine the hearing with their T6 maintenance application was denied. The parties then reached a consent agreement, which forms the basis of this order.

The ruling

Based on a consent agreement between the parties, the Tenants are ordered to pay their rent in full and on time on the first of each month for a two-year period, from July 1, 2025, to June 1, 2027. If they breach this condition, the Landlord can apply for an eviction order without notice. The Tenants are also ordered to pay the Landlord's $186.00 application fee by July 30, 2025.
