What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant had not paid rent from January to May 2025. The Tenant was properly served but did not attend the hearing. The hearing proceeded based solely on the Landlord's evidence.

The ruling

If the order is not voided, the Tenant must move out by June 9, 2025, and pay the Landlord $9,735.44, plus daily compensation of $82.19 from May 27, 2025. Relief from eviction was denied due to the significant arrears and the Tenant's failure to participate in the process.
