What happened

The Landlord obtained an eviction order based on a signed N11 Agreement to End the Tenancy. The Tenant filed a motion to set aside this order, claiming he signed the N11 by mistake, believing it was a rent payment plan, and was 'too busy' to read the document. He also disputed that the new owner was his landlord.

The ruling

The Tenant's motion to set aside the eviction order (LTB-L-018515-25) is denied. The adjudicator found the N11 agreement to terminate the tenancy was valid and entered into knowingly by the Tenant. The stay on the original order is lifted, and the tenancy will terminate on June 30, 2025, as per the agreement.
