What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent and substantial interference. The Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, and the Tenants did not void the notice by paying the rent arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $36,186 to void the order by June 30, 2023. If the Tenants do not pay, they must move out by June 30, 2023, and pay $33,876.41 in rent arrears and filing fees. The Tenants will also owe $98.63 per day in compensation for continued occupancy after June 8, 2023.
