What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order, including non-payment of rent and arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 8, 2023, and the tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The tenant is ordered to pay the landlord $7,425.34 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the previous application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The tenant must also pay the landlord $43.09 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting June 28, 2023 until the tenant moves out.
