What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The parties consented to a termination date of July 31, 2023.

The ruling

The parties consented to terminate the tenancy on July 31, 2023. The Landlord agreed to waive the rent for July 2023, pay the Tenant $3,000 in moving expenses, and provide a letter of reference. If the unit is not vacated by July 31, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction.
