What happened

Landlords applied to terminate tenancy and evict Tenants for landlord's own use. Tenants appealed LTB decision granting eviction to Divisional Court. Landlords brought motion to quash the appeal.

The ruling

The Divisional Court quashed the Tenants' appeal of the LTB eviction order, finding it raised no genuine questions of law and was therefore outside the court's jurisdiction. The court extended the eviction date to September 30, 2024 to allow Tenants time to relocate.
