What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that the Landlord failed to meet the Landlord's maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on an agreement with the Landlord.

The ruling

The Landlord shall pay the Tenant $377.00, which includes a rent abatement ($324.00) and the application filing fee ($53.00). The Landlord shall pay the Tenant the full amount owing by July 14, 2024. If the Landlord does not pay the Tenant the full amount owing by July 14, 2024, the Landlord will owe interest.
