What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order, which was to pay $615 towards rent arrears by May 20, 2023 and the lawful rent by June 1, 2023. The tenant failed to make these payments.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 7, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $6,097 plus $29 per day from June 27, 2023 until the tenant vacates the unit. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by July 7, 2023, the tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
