What happened
Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to non-payment of rent, substantial interference, damage to property, and the Landlords' need for personal use of the rental unit. The Landlords served the Tenants with valid N4, N7, N12, and N5 notices, but the Tenants did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 5, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $4,141.08, which includes rent arrears and the application filing fee. The Tenants must also pay daily compensation of $59.18 from July 7, 2023 until they vacate the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by September 5, 2023, the Landlords may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
