What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. Despite a significant payment made after the application was filed, arrears remained. The LTB considered the circumstances and the lack of a repayment agreement and ordered termination of the tenancy unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 8, 2025. The Tenant may void the eviction by paying $5,903.77 by June 30, 2025, or $7,327.17 by July 8, 2025. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must move out by July 8, 2025, and pay the Landlord $212.51 (representing the balance after applying the rent deposit and interest) plus daily compensation of $46.80.
