What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants because the landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The landlord provided the required N12 notice and compensation to the tenants.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 29, 2024. The tenants must vacate the rental unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated by this date, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The tenants shall also pay the landlord compensation of $64.77 per day for the use of the unit starting November 23, 2023 until the date the tenants move out.
