What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the rental unit is the superintendent's premises and the Tenant's employment as superintendent has ended.

The ruling

The Landlord has proven the grounds for termination of the tenancy and the claim for compensation. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed. The parties consented to an order that the tenancy is terminated and the Tenant will vacate the rental unit on or before July 5, 2024. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $26,690.25 in compensation for use and occupation of the unit from March 17, 2023 to July 4, 2024, and an additional $56.19 per day starting July 5, 2024 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
