What happened

Landlord applied for an order to require the Tenant to pay reasonable costs the Landlord incurred to repair damage to the rental unit that was caused wilfully or negligently by the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,872.49, which includes $4,686.49 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damaged property and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 23, 2024, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 7.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
