What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $25,786 by June 15, 2024 to void the order. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate by June 15, 2024 and pay $17,490.17 to the Landlords. The Tenant will also owe daily compensation of $105.21 starting May 14, 2024 until they vacate.
