What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant has been persistently late in paying the Tenant's rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of January 27, 2023, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 5, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
