What happened
The Landlord applied to evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. The Tenants were served an N4 notice which they did not void by paying the arrears. One Tenant attended the hearing, stating her partner had moved out and she currently has no source of income. The Landlord's agent mentioned that attempts to negotiate a repayment plan were unsuccessful.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $7,986.00 by June 16, 2025. If this amount is not paid, the Tenant must move out by that date. In the event the tenancy is terminated, the Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $3,755.04, plus daily compensation of $64.11 from May 27, 2025, until vacating. The Board denied the Tenant's relief from eviction.
