What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. By the time of the hearing, the Tenants had paid all arrears up to October 31, 2025. Consequently, the Landlord only sought the recovery of the application filing fee. One tenant was present but disconnected during the hearing, while the other did not appear.

The ruling

The application for eviction was denied as the Tenants paid all rent arrears before the order was issued. Relief from eviction was granted. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of the application by November 2, 2025. If the amount is not paid by the deadline, interest will accrue at 4.00% annually.
