What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for damages caused by the Tenant.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by February 25, 2025. If the Tenant does not vacate by that date, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $1,130 for the cost of repairing the wilful damage and $186 for the application fee, for a total of $1,316.
