What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords, in good faith, require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlords' child.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2023. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlords $5,952.23 in compensation for use and occupation of the unit from January 1, 2023 to May 30, 2023, less any amount already paid. The Tenants must also pay the Landlords $39.68 per day for use of the unit from May 31, 2023 until the date they move out.
