What happened
The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The tenant was ordered to pay the landlord $8,950.31 in addition to the monthly rent, but the tenant only paid the rent and failed to pay the additional amount.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the tenant must move out by May 9, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The tenant must pay the landlord $14,900.93 in rent arrears and costs, plus $32.84 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting May 1, 2023 until the tenant moves out.
