What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to Tenants giving a notice to terminate the tenancy. Landlord also applied for an order requiring the Tenants to pay the rent that they owe.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay to the Landlord $4,139.51, which represents the amount of rent owing up to August 20, 2020 minus interest due on the rent deposit. The Tenants shall also pay to the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. The total amount owed by the Tenants is $4,340.51. If the Tenants do not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before May 31, 2021, the Tenants will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
