What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant has not paid the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from January 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective January 28, 2020 due to the rent arrears.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $872.00 which represents the amount of rent arrears owing up to October 31, 2020 and includes the $175.00 cost of filing the application. The Tenant shall also pay the full amount owing and the additional rent that comes due in installments by January 20, 2021. If the Tenant fails to make any one of the payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
