What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 30, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $10,705.48 in compensation for use of the unit from February 1, 2022 to August 24, 2022, plus $62.47 per day from August 25, 2022 until the Tenants move out. If the full amount is not paid by November 30, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
