What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 1, 2021, due to rent arrears. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 22, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $4,273.15 on or before that date. The Tenant must pay $2,650.28 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $186.00 for application filing costs. Daily compensation of $29.60 is owed for each day of occupation starting February 12, 2022. If not vacated by February 22, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
