What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant had not vacated the rental unit.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,935 in rent arrears and $186 in application costs by September 7, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by the due date, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. The Tenant shall also pay $20 in costs to the Board.
