What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's caregiver.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2022. The Landlord is granted possession of the rental unit. The Landlord must pay the Tenant $110.50 in interest on the rent deposit and $582.50 in compensation by November 30, 2022. The last month's rent deposit of $550 shall be applied to the last month of the tenancy.
