What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was in substantial arrears from July 2019 to January 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,435.00, which represents the rent arrears of $3,260.00 and the application filing fee of $175.00. The Tenant shall make monthly payments of $127.22 towards the arrears, in addition to paying the lawful monthly rent, from November 2020 to February 2023. If the Tenant fails to make any of the required payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant, and for any new arrears.
