What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated as of July 1, 2022. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before July 1, 2022. The Tenants shall pay to the Landlord $21,155.02, which represents compensation for the use of the unit from October 31, 2020 to January 31, 2022, less the rent deposit. The Tenants shall also pay to the Landlord $46.19 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from February 1, 2022 to the date they move out of the unit. The Tenants shall also pay to the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before February 11, 2022, they will start to owe interest.
