What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 9, 2021. Tenants vacated the rental unit on November 23, 2021, as a result of the Sheriff enforcing a previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective November 23, 2021, when the Sheriff returned vacant possession to the Landlord. Tenants are ordered to pay $3,051.38 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears, compensation up to the move-out date, and the cost of filing the application.
