What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of Tenant Samuel Sertse, and for compensation for the use of the rental unit by the Unauthorized Occupant Addis Abuhay Sertse.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated as of August 31, 2021. The Unauthorized Occupant shall move out of the rental unit on or before August 31, 2021 and pay the Landlord $2,582.97 for use of the unit from December 31, 2019 to July 27, 2021, $14.43 per day for use from July 28, 2021 to move-out date, and $190 for the application filing fee. If the Unauthorized Occupant does not pay the full amount by August 31, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% on the outstanding balance starting September 1, 2021.
