What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Tenant or another occupant committing an illegal act and seriously impairing the safety of others in the residential complex. The Landlord alleged the Tenant was in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, which were seized by the police during a search of the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2022. The Tenant must move out by August 7, 2022. The Tenant owes the Landlord $3,838.21, which includes rent arrears, daily compensation, and application filing costs. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 31, 2022, they will owe interest starting August 1, 2022.
