What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlords have entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2022. The Tenant must move out by that date. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,595.78, which represents compensation for the use of the unit from November 1, 2021 to January 11, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $62.47 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from January 12, 2022 to the date the Tenant moves out.
