What happened
Landlord applied for an order terminating the tenancy of Tenant, a superintendent, and evicting the Tenant because the Tenant did not vacate the rental unit within one week of the termination of his employment.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated effective September 11, 2020. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before October 18, 2021. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $13,603.25, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application fee, and daily compensation if the unit is not vacated by the due date. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by the due date, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
