What happened

The Tenants applied for an order that the Landlords gave a notice of termination in bad faith. The Landlords, Blue Ocean Property Group, DCI Properties Inc, and Allison Pazuk, raised a preliminary issue with respect to the Board's jurisdiction given the nature of the parties and the relationships between them.

The ruling

The Purchasers do not meet the definition of a Landlord under the Act. The Board has no jurisdiction to award a remedy against the Purchasers. The application against all respondents is withdrawn at the request of the Tenants' representative.
