What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant and Occupant. The Tenant had transferred occupancy of the rental unit to the Occupant without the Landlord's knowledge. The Occupant was in possession of the unit when the application was filed.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated. The Occupant shall move out of the rental unit by August 15, 2020. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Occupant shall pay the Landlord $34.32 per day for compensation for use of the unit from October 1, 2019 until the Occupant moves out. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $190 for the cost of filing the application.
