What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the premises.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,090.50 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $2,276.50, by March 31, 2022. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by the due date, the Landlord may apply to the Board to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant. The Tenant will also owe simple interest at 2% annually on any outstanding balance starting April 1, 2022.
