What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of Tenant and evict the Tenant and Unauthorized Occupants. The Landlord also claimed compensation for the use of the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated. The Unauthorized Occupants shall move out of the rental unit on or before October 19, 2021 and pay the Landlord $16,208.63, which represents compensation for the use of the unit from June 6, 2020 to August 20, 2021, minus the rent deposit and interest owing on the rent deposit. The Unauthorized Occupants shall also pay the Landlord $39.82 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from August 21, 2021 to the date they move out of the unit, as well as $190.00 for the cost of filing the application.
