What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 11, 2022. The Tenants must move out by that date. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $5,528, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application fee, and interest on the rent deposit. If the Tenants do not pay by February 11, 2022, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
