What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on July 20, 2021 with respect to application SOL-17752-21. The Tenant failed to pay rent arrears as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 18, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,163.41, which represents the remaining rent arrears from the previous order, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $37.59 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting November 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 18, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest on the outstanding balance starting December 19, 2021.
