What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (SWL-51373-21) regarding rent payment. The Tenant failed to pay the required arrears and subsequent rent payments as ordered.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 25, 2022. The Tenant must pay $16,047.92 to the Landlords, representing rent arrears up to January 14, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $50.96 per day from January 15, 2022, until vacating the unit. If not paid by January 25, 2022, interest will accrue, and the Landlords may enforce eviction through the Court Enforcement Office.
