What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit, and the purchaser in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 6, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by this date. If not vacated, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting January 7, 2023. The Tenant must pay $41.10 per day for use of the unit from November 3, 2022, until move-out.
