What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before August 14, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $2,309.18 for use of the unit from the termination date to the hearing date, and additional daily compensation until the date vacant possession is given. If the Tenant does not pay the amounts owed by August 14, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 3.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
