What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also applied for an order determining whether the Tenants altered the locking system without the Landlord's consent.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the rent on or before the 1st day of the month commencing September 1, 2021, up to and including August 1, 2022. If the Tenants fail to make any of the payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by August 21, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
